# Installing in eM Client and other desktop clients

Use the Email Clients export when a desktop app rewrites or strips advanced CSS.

## Steps

1. Open the signature in the builder.
2. Open the HTML dropdown and choose **Email Clients** to download the client-safe `.html` file.
3. In eM Client, open **Settings**.
4. Open **Mail**, then **Templates and Signatures**.
5. In the **Signatures** section, click **Signatures...**.
6. Click **Import**, then choose **From File**.
7. Select the Email Clients HTML file you downloaded from Subscripta.
8. Close the signatures dialog.
9. Back in the Signatures section, select the new signature you just imported.
10. Click **Save & Close** to finish.

## Known Gmail iPhone Limitation

The Email Clients export avoids highlight artifacts, but Gmail iPhone dark mode can still gray white identity text because the fragile blend workaround is intentionally removed.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.subscripta.app/email-clients/installing-em-client-desktop-clients.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
